Lighting, Smoke, and In-Camera Magic

with Mama’s Gonna Snap

I am so excited to be back for my second year as the official photographer for Premier Volleyball! After an incredible first season, we’re ready to bring even more energy to the 40+ boys' and girls' teams that make this club a family.


We’re bringing back the professional lighting and the signature fog machines to create that "in-camera magic" our players love. It’s more than just a photo op—it’s a night for the athletes to feel like pros and have some fun with their teammates.

The Digital Download Bundle

To make things easy for our families, I’ve put together a "one and done" package that covers everything. This bundle ensures you have high-resolution memories of your athlete’s session.

The Premier Bundle: $75 (A $150 Value!)

  • 2 Professional Headshots (For a clean, consistent club look)
  • 3 Full-Length Poses* (Power poses and personality shots)
  • All Team Photos featuring your athlete
  • All Buddy Photos (The shots with their best friends!)

*Each pose comes with multiple photos. For a more dramatic look for some photos, we change the lighting up, and try to get a mix of smile and serious/intimidation faces.

[!IMPORTANT] A Quick Note on Deadlines: To keep our workflow moving, the digital package must be purchased prior to your session. Once Media Day concludes, photos will not be available for individual sale or delivery. If a package isn’t purchased, no digital files will be sent and athlete will only take the Premier required team photo, buddy photo(s), single headshot, and single full length pose.

Making the Night a Success

We want the kids to have a blast! Here is how to ensure a smooth session:

  • Arrive Early: Please aim to be there 15 minutes early so we can get everyone checked in and start the magic promptly.
  • Uniform Check: Come game-day ready! Jerseys, knee pads, and sneakers are a must. All players will wear the same uniform for team, buddy and headshot photos, but can switch it up for full length poses.
  • Stay for the Session: Please plan to stay for the entirety of your team's session night. This ensures we capture all team rotations and those fun buddy shots without rushing. The sessions can last give or take up to 4 hours for two teams.
  • Fuel Up: Bring a water bottle and a snack. Posing under the lights is fun, but it takes energy!

What Happens the Night of the Session?

We usually host two teams per night which takes around 4 hours. To keep things organized and make sure everyone gets their time in the spotlight, we follow a simple rotation. We use the smoke and professional lighting for every part of the session, so every shot has that same cool vibe.

  • Team Photos First.
  • Headshots: After the team photo, we’ll move through individual headshots. We preselected headshot poses to keep these consistent so the club has a nice, clean look for the website and rosters.
  • Full-Length & Creative Poses: This is the part where the kids can relax and show some personality. We’ll do some "power poses," and if they have a specific pose they’ve seen and want to try, this is the time to do it.
  • Buddy Photos: We wrap up the night with buddy shots. It’s a great way to end the session—just the athletes hanging out and getting some fun photos with their best friends on the team.

FAQ

Does my athlete have to participate?

Yes! Every player is an essential part of the Premier family. Even if you choose not to purchase a bundle, all athletes are required to participate in the team, headshot, and buddy rotations for the club website and social media.

What if I don't buy the package?

If a bundle is not purchased, the athlete will only take the required photos for the club’s use. You will not have access to download or own these files.

Can they choose their own poses?

Headshots: We use specific poses to keep the club looking sharp and uniform.

Full-Length: This is where personality shines! We have plenty of ideas at the link above, but if your player has a "saved" pose from social media or a creative idea of their own, we’d love to help them recreate it.

When is our photo night?

We are currently in the process of scheduling all 40+ teams. Your coach or club admin will notify you as soon as your team's specific date is locked in.

How do I purchase the package?

I try to keep the process as simple as possible.

Watch Your Inbox: A booking link will be sent to you via email a few days before your team's scheduled session.

Placeholder Times: When you're registering, you might see a specific time slot on the screen. Please note that this is just a placeholder to get you into the system! It doesn’t mean your athlete has an exact individual appointment at that time. We move through the teams as a group in the rotation mentioned above.
